Four Injured in Pedestrian Crash in Phoenix

Authorities in Phoenix responded to a crash involving pedestrians on September 20, resulting in four people being taken to the hospital. The incident occurred at the intersection of Tatum Boulevard and Desert Cove Avenue.
Phoenix Fire officials, along with Scottsdale firefighters, were dispatched to the scene at around 1:00 p.m. According to their statement, one person had to be extricated from underneath one of the vehicles involved in the collision.
Conflicting reports have emerged regarding the number of individuals transported to the hospital. Phoenix Fire officials stated that four people were taken for medical treatment - a man in his 40s, a man in his 30s, a woman in her 40s, and a woman in her 30s. The man in his 40s was listed as being extremely critical while the other three were considered critical.
On the other hand, Phoenix Police officials reported that two pedestrians and a driver were hospitalized. One of the pedestrians, identified as an adult male, sustained life-threatening injuries.
The cause of this collision is currently under investigation by Phoenix Police.
A witness claimed that his wife was driving south on Tatum with right-of-way when another vehicle collided into her car before hitting three pedestrians crossing at Desert Cove Avenue. Mazzone also alleged that the driver of the white sedan ran through a red light while traveling north on Tatum.
