Georgia Man Killed in Fiery Crash in Alabama

A tragic accident in east Alabama claimed the life of a Georgia man on Tuesday. The victim has been identified as 70-year-old Kester Bruton, a resident of Pooler, Ga. The incident occurred at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Interstate 59, just five miles north of Attalla in Etowah County.
According to a Senior Trooper from the Alabama State Troopers, Bruton was driving a Volvo tractor-trailer when it veered off the interstate and collided with a tree before bursting into flames. Despite emergency responders' efforts, Bruton was pronounced dead at the scene.
The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation by authorities. It remains unclear what factors may have contributed to the vehicle leaving the roadway and striking the tree.
