Glendale Police Searching for Vehicle Involved in Fatal Collision

Glendale police are on the lookout for a white, lifted Chevrolet pickup truck involved in a collision that resulted in the death of a 15-year-old boy last week. The incident occurred near 53rd and Grand Avenues when the driver of the pickup truck was attempting to turn left and the teen swerved to avoid crashing into it. As a result, he lost control of his car, hit a curb, and rolled over. Three teens who were not wearing their seatbelts were ejected from the vehicle.

The Glendale Police Department released information about the suspect vehicle on Tuesday, asking anyone with information about its whereabouts or driver to come forward. The truck has black wheels, front-end damage from the crash, and possibly an American flag decal in its back window. It also has a black toolbox in its bed.

Police initially had conflicting statements from witnesses regarding whether another vehicle was involved but confirmed through video footage that this particular pickup truck was present at the scene.

The driver and two 16-year-old girls who were also passengers sustained life-threatening injuries and were rushed to hospital after being extricated from their overturned car by emergency responders.
