Good Samaritans Rescue Woman from Burning Car After Crash on I-93 South
A group of Good Samaritans sprang into action after a car crash occurred on Interstate 93 South just before Exit 5 in Londonderry. The incident happened around 6 p.m. Tuesday when a woman was trapped inside her vehicle that caught fire.
One person smashed the window with a hammer when they could not get the door open.
Minutes later, flames ripped through the front seat where the driver was trapped. New Hampshire State Police confirmed that at least two off-duty firefighters also helped with rescuing efforts.
Firefighters and paramedics arrived shortly after and provided medical assistance to those involved in the accident.
Police reported that although serious injuries were sustained by the driver during this incident, they are non-life-threatening.
The quick thinking actions of these individuals demonstrate how important it is for people to be aware of their surroundings and ready to act in emergency situations like this one.
