Greene County Man Charged After Leaving Scene of Accident in Sunderland

A man from Greene County, New York is in trouble with the law after allegedly leaving the scene of an accident in Sunderland, Vermont. According to Vermont State Police, a FedEx box truck driven by Jeffrey W. Colburn struck the covered bridge at 412 Sunderland Hill Road multiple times causing significant damage.
Responding officers say the driver left the scene and failed to report the damage. However, police were able to locate him shortly after on Sunderland Hill Road.
As a result of his actions, Colburn has been issued a citation to appear at Bennington County Superior Court – Criminal Division on August 7th. It remains unclear what specific charges he will face.
