Oxnard man and resident Jose Rosas injured in head-on collision

Wells suffered minor injuries and Rosas suffered major injuries
An Oxnard man has been left with major injuries following a head-on collision on Tuesday night. The accident occurred north of Camarillo at around 8:45 p.m. when Timothy Wells, aged 60, was driving his 2004 Saturn Vue east on the 118 Freeway near Walnut Avenue and attempted to pass another vehicle.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Wells was unable to overtake the car before colliding head-on with another Saturn from model year 2002 driven by Jose Rosas, aged 31 and also an Oxnard resident.
Rosas suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to Los Robles Medical Center for treatment. Meanwhile, Wells sustained minor injuries and received medical attention at St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital.
The investigation into what caused the accident is still ongoing; however, investigators have stated that they do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in this incident.
