Two babies and three adults injured in Monett head-on crash

All five involved were taken to Cox South in Springfield in moderate condition.
On Saturday afternoon, a head-on crash occurred on Farm Road 1040, three miles west of Monett in Barry County. The accident involved a Ford Mustang and a Mazda 6, which resulted in two babies and three adults being taken to Cox South hospital in Springfield.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the incident happened around 3:40 p.m. when the Mustang drove into the path of the Mazda and hit them head-on. The occupants of the Mustang were two teenage women and a baby girl under one year old while there was a 22-year-old man and another one-year-old girl inside the Mazda.
All five individuals involved were transported to Cox South hospital with moderate injuries. No fatalities have been reported at this time.
