Charles R. Clark Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Seymour

Charles R. Clark passed away at U.T. Medical Center, Theresa Clark treated for minor injuries and released.
The Blount County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in identifying a driver and vehicle that left the scene of a fatal crash on Cunningham Road West in Seymour, Tennessee. The accident occurred on May 14th when Charles R. Clark, 75, was driving eastbound on Cunningham Road West and was hit head-on by a late-model blue full-size Ford pick-up truck traveling westbound that crossed over into his lane.
According to reports from the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, "the driver of the blue pickup truck fled the scene after hitting Clark's car." A witness who lived nearby told deputies he saw the blue pick-up truck back up and drive off following the accident.
Clark was taken to U.T. Medical Center by AMR Ambulance Service but passed away at the hospital Wednesday evening due to injuries sustained during the crash. His wife Theresa Clark, 71, also suffered minor injuries and was treated at UTMC before being released.
The Blount County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Office has asked anyone with information about this incident or knowledge of who may have been driving this vehicle at that time to contact them immediately at (865)273-5136.
This is an ongoing investigation as authorities work tirelessly to identify those responsible for causing this tragic event.
