63-year-old Orlando man killed in hit-and-run on Orange Blossom Trail

Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Orange Blossom Trail, resulting in the death of a 63-year-old Orlando man. The incident took place early Saturday morning, just after midnight, at the intersection of North Orange Blossom Trail and Rosamond Drive.
According to FHP, the victim was walking east across the roadway when he was struck by a northbound pickup truck. The man was not walking in a marked crosswalk and was hit by the right-side mirror of the pickup truck. The truck then fled the scene, leaving the victim lying in the roadway.
A second truck, a Toyota Tacoma, attempted to swerve and avoid the victim but ended up striking him. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Tacoma remained uninjured and stayed at the scene.
FHP is now searching for the first pickup truck, described by witnesses as a white or silver Chevy Silverado. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact FHP at 407-737-2213 or call Crimeline at 1-800-423-8477.
