Houston Man Killed in Semitruck Rollover Accident

The driver died on the scene from injuries sustained in the accident.
A tragic accident occurred yesterday in the Lamb's Canyon area of Parleys Canyon, resulting in the death of a semitruck driver. The truck was carrying sheet metal and traveling westbound near the Lamb’s Canyon ramp at around 9:30 p.m. when it veered off to the left and hit a concrete barrier.
Sgt. Cameron Roden, public information officer for Utah Highway Patrol, reported that the truck then rolled onto its side and slid back to the right where it stopped, blocking the on-ramp and several of the right-hand lanes. Due to safety concerns caused by darkness and wet roads, Parleys Canyon had to be closed for several hours following this incident.
The driver was identified as a Houston man who died on-site from injuries sustained during this unfortunate event. At present time his identity has not been released.
