Three Dead, Three Injured in Iowa Tow Truck and Motorcycle Crash

Three dead, three injured
Three people have died and three others were injured in a crash involving a tow truck and multiple motorcycles in Harrison County, Iowa. The incident took place on Sunday evening on Iowa Highway 127. According to the Iowa State Patrol, Ronald Keith Meeker, aged 73 and from Woodbine, was driving the tow truck when he failed to stop at a stop sign while going around a curve. As a result, the vehicle rolled onto its side in the southbound lane and hit an oncoming motorcycle driven by Steven Theodore Starkey of Council Bluffs. Both riders were thrown off their bike.
Another motorcyclist who was also riding nearby dumped his bike onto its side before jumping off it just before it was hit by the truck. Unfortunately, Ronald Meeker along with Steven Starkey and Julie Starkey (both aged 53) lost their lives due to this accident.
Joseph Baker (aged 52) from Yutan Nebraska as well as Adam Opal (aged 38) and Samantha Opal (also aged 38), both residents of McClelland sustained injuries during this collision but there is no information available about their current condition.
The authorities are investigating further into what caused Mr.Meeker's failure to stop at the sign which led to such tragic consequences for those involved in this terrible accident.
