A tragic accident in Cabell County, West Virginia has claimed the life of a young man from Jane Lew. Jared Tyler Shaver, 22 years old, was killed on Wednesday afternoon when his vehicle rolled over and he was ejected.

According to a press release from the Barboursville Police Department, the incident occurred around 12:15 p.m. on July 12th. Shaver's vehicle veered to the right and collided with the end plate of a guardrail on Interstate 64 near Exit 18. The impact caused the vehicle to roll over, resulting in Shaver being thrown out of it and landing in a ravine beside the interstate.

Emergency services were called immediately after the crash, and Cabell County EMS transported Shaver to St. Mary's Medical Center for treatment. Tragically, despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The Barboursville Police Department is currently investigating this fatal accident to determine its cause and any contributing factors.
