Victim taken to hospital in critical condition
A juvenile is in critical condition after being hit by a semi-truck in Kansas City on Wednesday night. According to the police report, the incident occurred just after 9:30 p.m. when the victim was walking in a construction zone next to the second lane of southbound I-29, beyond the bridge over northwest 72nd Street.
The driver of the semi-truck did not stop and continued traveling southbound. Emergency crews took the victim, who is over 15-years-old but has not been identified yet, to an area hospital where they remain in critical condition.
