Juveniles Crash into Parked Cars in Elizabeth City

Police in Elizabeth City, North Carolina are investigating a car crash involving three juveniles that occurred early Wednesday morning. The incident happened at around 2:40 a.m. on West Colonial Avenue near Holly Street.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found that the juveniles had crashed into multiple parked cars. One of them was taken to Sentara Albemarle Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver has been cited for several offenses including "no operator's license, careless and reckless driving, revoked license plate, open container, exceeding safe speed, and failure to maintain lane control." In addition to these citations, they will also face a petition for damage to property.
All three juveniles were released into their parents' custody following the accident.
