BISMARCK, N.D. - On Saturday, Katrina Christiansen, a U.S. Senate candidate, took to her campaign's Facebook page to inform her followers that she and her family had survived a car crash. In the post, she stated that their vehicle was hit by another car while it was attempting to pass a semi-truck. Fortunately, no one in her family sustained any injuries thanks to the efforts of the volunteer Plankinton Fire & Rescue team.

Christiansen expressed gratitude towards the rural fire and rescue department for their bravery and selflessness during such critical moments. She emphasized that these individuals exemplify the courage and generosity that makes our country exceptional. Christiansen concluded by expressing her family's deep appreciation for their dedication in helping people during times of distress.

According to Kerry Billings, Christiansen's campaign manager, Katrina and her family were indeed involved in a car crash on their way back to North Dakota when another vehicle attempted to overtake them but collided with their car instead. Thankfully, everyone inside the vehicle emerged unharmed from this incident. Currently, they have returned safely to Jamestown.
