Kentucky Woman Diana Corona Dies in Ohio Car Crash

Corona died at the scene and the passenger was flown to Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in critical condition.
A woman from Kentucky died in a car crash on Monday morning in Union County, Ohio. The accident occurred around 7:45 a.m. when Diana Corona, 27, was driving an Audi A3 with a passenger on Fulton Creek Road. According to the sheriff's office, she lost control of the vehicle while heading northwest and crashed into a tree before overturning across the right side of the road and coming to rest in a field.
When medics and deputies arrived at the scene, they pronounced Corona dead but airlifted her passenger to Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in critical condition. As per reports from Wednesday morning, authorities have upgraded the passenger’s status to critical but stable condition.
The UCSO investigation revealed that "excessive speed" played a role in causing the accident as investigations continue into what led up to this tragic event.
