Late Night Crash Involving Brightline Train and Vehicle in Dania Beach

The Broward Sheriff's Office is currently conducting an investigation into a late-night collision involving a Brightline train and a vehicle in Dania Beach. The incident took place at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, at the intersection of Dixie Highway and Southwest 16th Street.
A video capturing the moment of impact was shared on social media platform Only in Dade, showing the Brightline train colliding head-on with the vehicle, resulting in sparks along the train tracks. The footage depicts three individuals inside the car who managed to exit just seconds before the crash occurred.
Fortunately, only one person sustained injuries from this accident and was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have confirmed that these injuries are not life-threatening.
In addition to their ongoing investigation, BSO's DUI units were also dispatched to the scene. Their involvement suggests that alcohol impairment may be considered as a potential factor contributing to this incident.
