Lebanon County Woman Killed in Crash on Route 322 in Penn Township

A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Penn Township, Lebanon County, resulting in the death of a woman and multiple injuries. The victim has been identified as 41-year-old Bethany Welch from Palmyra.
According to reports, emergency crews were called to Route 322 at around 2:22 p.m. following a report of a vehicle crash. Upon arrival, they discovered that three vehicles were involved in the collision - a sedan, commercial van, and tractor-trailer. Welch was driving the sedan at the time of the incident.
Sadly, Welch did not survive the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lancaster County Coroner. The cause of her death was determined to be multiple traumatic injuries, with authorities ruling it an accident.
The injured individuals were promptly transported to local hospitals for treatment; however, it remains unclear how many people sustained injuries during this devastating event.
Northern Lancaster County Regional police are currently investigating the crash with assistance from both the Lancaster County Crash Team and Brickerville Fire Company. As more information becomes available regarding this incident, updates will be provided accordingly.
