Lee Township Man Nathan Alaska Threet Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Lincoln Township

Threet was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries from the crash. The 52-year-old man suffered minor injuries and was cleared on scene by EMS.
A 38-year-old man from Lee Township, Nathan Alaska Threet, has died after being involved in a crash between a motorcycle and a truck on Sunday, May 7. The accident occurred on E. Saginaw Road, west of Old Oak Trail in Lincoln Township.
According to the Midland County Sheriff's Office, Threet was driving a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle without any headlights or running lights activated. He was travelling westbound on E. Saginaw Road near Old Oak Trail when he collided with a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado. The truck was being driven by a 52-year-old Sanford man who was turning from eastbound E. Saginaw Road onto Old Oak Trail.
Threet was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained from the crash. The 52-year-old man suffered minor injuries and was cleared on the scene by EMS.
Initial indications suggest that alcohol and/or speed may have been factors in the crash. Toxicology results are pending, and a final report will be sent to the Midland County Prosecutor's Office for review.
The Midland County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the incident.
