Driver and passenger suffered minor injuries
Madison, Wisconsin - A Madison Metro Transit bus crashed off a road on Friday night.
The incident occurred at Oneida Place and Odana Road at around 10:40 p.m. The Madison Police Department confirmed that the driver, Alton Williams, and the sole passenger of the bus sustained minor injuries.
The bus crashed over a retaining wall, causing damage to a telephone pole, road signs, and several trees. Two tow trucks were required to remove the bus from the scene. Pictures posted on the Instagram account Badger Barstool revealed that the bus's windshield was broken.
Officials stated that they do not suspect any drug or alcohol use from the 41-year-old driver. No further details have been released regarding the cause of the accident.
