High School Student Critically Injured in Maize Accident

A 16-year-old student from Maize High School is currently in critical condition after falling off a moving vehicle on Tuesday. The incident occurred in the parking lot between the baseball fields and the district's maintenance facility, according to Chief Jeff Wieble of the Maize Police Department.
Chief Wieble stated that witnesses are being interviewed to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the accident. "We are working diligently to piece together what happened," he said.
The identity of the student has not been released at this time. It remains unclear why they were on top of or fell off of the car. Authorities have not provided any information regarding whether there was anyone else involved or if any charges will be filed.
