# Major Crash Near San Diego Safari Park Leaves Six Injured
A major crash near the San Diego Safari Park on Tuesday evening has left at least six people injured, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue. Four of the injured individuals are currently in critical condition.
The incident was reported as a vehicle rescue around 4:08 p.m. in the 15000 block of San Pasqual Valley Road, as stated by SDFD. A large team consisting of 55 personnel, along with a helicopter and multiple rescue vehicles, were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, emergency crews discovered two severely damaged vehicles - a pick-up truck and a sedan - that had collided in the eastbound lanes of San Pasqual Valley Road. SkyFOX footage captured numerous firefighters and other personnel working diligently to extricate individuals trapped inside both vehicles.
Following the crash, six patients were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Four of them sustained life-threatening injuries, as described by fire officials. The extent of injuries for the remaining two patients is currently unknown.
To facilitate rescue operations and clear debris from the area, road closures were implemented around the crash site but have since been reopened.
Authorities are actively investigating what caused this devastating accident.
