Man dies after being hit by truck in Phoenix

The man was rushed to the hospital, where he died.
Phoenix police have confirmed that a man has died after being hit by a truck on Wednesday night. The incident occurred near 51st Avenue and Baseline Road, and police were called to the scene at around 8 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found the man injured and he was immediately taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The victim has not yet been identified.
According to investigators, the truck driver involved in the collision stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police. They have also confirmed that the driver is not suspected of impairment. In an update, police revealed that the man was not walking in a marked crosswalk at the time of the incident.
As the investigation continues, east and west traffic along Baseline Road will remain closed. Further details about the incident have not been released at this time.
