Jorge Herrera Huerta Ejected from Car in Thousand Oaks Crash

Huerta suffered major, but non-life threatening injuries.
A man was airlifted to a nearby hospital after he crashed into a tree and was ejected from his car in Thousand Oaks on Monday. According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Aggen Road, north of SR-118 around 1:14 p.m.
The driver has been identified as Jorge Herrera Huerta who lost control of his 2005 Toyota Scion while traveling southbound at an unknown speed. The back end of the Scion began rotating clockwise causing it to veer off-road onto a dirt shoulder where it collided with a tree and water main before spinning back around and stopping facing the wrong way in the northbound lane.
Huerta was ejected from his vehicle during impact and suffered major but non-life-threatening injuries. He was airlifted to Los Robles Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Aggen Road remained closed for nearly two hours while CHP personnel investigated the collision and recovered Huerta's vehicle from the scene. The cause of this accident is still under investigation by authorities at this time.
