Man Facing Murder Charge After Deadly Crash in Laurel County

Man arrested on murder charge
On Tuesday night, a deadly crash occurred in Laurel County, Kentucky. According to the sheriff's office, the incident took place on KY 192, approximately four miles west of London. The collision involved two vehicles.
The investigation revealed that a pickup truck driven by Wesley Allen, a 29-year-old resident of London, was traveling westbound when it crossed the centerline and collided with a car driven by Fred Johnson. Sadly, Johnson, aged 64 and also from London, was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.
Following the crash, Allen received medical treatment at an area hospital before being released. The preliminary investigation conducted by the sheriff's office suggests that alcohol may have been involved in Allen's actions leading up to the accident.
As a result of their findings during the investigation process, authorities arrested Wesley Allen on a murder charge. He has since been transported to the Laurel County Correctional Facility where he will await further legal proceedings related to this tragic incident.
