Police chase on I-275 ends with truck flipping and driver fleeing scene

Driver fled the scene

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a man is being searched for after he flipped his truck and fled from the scene following a chase that began on Interstate 275. The incident occurred on Monday morning when troopers attempted to stop the truck at I-275 and 54th Street. However, when the driver refused to stop, a pursuit ensued.

The chase continued for two miles north on the highway until it ended in an accident at Gandy Boulevard and I-275 where the truck overturned. Following this, its driver ran away from the scene of the crash.

As of now, Florida troopers along with local law enforcement are still searching for him as stated by FHP in their statement. No further details have been provided regarding his identity or whereabouts.
