Man from Brighton, Missouri, Dies in Head-On Crash near Carthage

Raylyanu was pronounced dead at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The driver of the truck was not injured.
JASPER COUNTY, Mo. - A 24-year-old man from Brighton, Missouri, died in a head-on crash near Carthage on Saturday night. The incident occurred on Missouri Highway 96, a two-lane road, around 9 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Joseph Raylyanu was driving a Toyota Yaris and attempted to pass another car when he drove into the path of a Chevrolet 2500 truck driven by a man from Avilla, Mo.
Raylyanu was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the truck was not injured in the crash.
The authorities have not yet released any further information about the incident.
Accident.NEWS has reported that the incident is still under investigation.
