Carleton man killed in crash between semi and pickup truck

A fatal crash occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Monroe County, Michigan. The accident involved a semi and a pickup truck, resulting in the death of the pickup driver. According to authorities, the 56-year-old Carleton man was driving his Ford F-150 west on Oakville-Waltz Road near Maxwell Road when he crossed the centerline at around 5:25 p.m., colliding with the semi.
The Livonia man who was driving the semi suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a hospital. Police have stated that they do not know why the pickup driver crossed over into oncoming traffic but have ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in this tragic incident.
