Driver of Ford Fusion pronounced dead at the scene
According to state officials, a man was killed in an overnight vehicle accident outside of Sinton on Sunday. As of Monday evening, the victim had not been publicly identified as efforts were still ongoing to reach his next of kin. The driver was operating a Ford Fusion and was pronounced dead at the scene after failing to use the right of way at a stop sign while traveling westbound on County Road 1196 towards the crossover. A Dodge Durango traveling northbound collided with the Ford Fusion resulting in no other injuries being reported from the incident. Texas DPS Sgt. Guadalupe Casarez provided details about how this tragic event unfolded.
