Terrance D. Brake killed in pickup truck-semi crash near Kinsley

Terrance D. Brake was pronounced dead at the scene. Jared L. Schemper was reported uninjured.
A fatal accident occurred in Kinsley, Kansas on Wednesday afternoon when a pickup truck collided with a semitrailer. The crash happened at around 3:15 p.m. on US-183 highway at County Road O in Edwards County, about a mile south of Kinsley.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that the northbound 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck crossed the center line and hit the trailer and load of a 2013 Kenworth semitrailer. The driver of the Silverado, Terrance D. Brake, aged 51 and from Kinsley, was wearing his seat belt but was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jared L. Schemper, aged 43 and from Holdrege, Nebraska was driving the semi-truck and fortunately escaped uninjured as he too had been wearing his seat belt.
Both drivers were alone in their vehicles during this tragic incident according to authorities.
