West Plains Man Kyle Salamone in Serious Condition After Crash Involving Oregon County Deputy

Salamone was taken to a Springfield hospital in serious condition. The deputy was not injured.
A man from West Plains, Missouri was taken to a hospital in serious condition after a high-speed chase involving an Oregon County deputy. The incident occurred on Highway 63, five miles north of Thayer, Missouri around 10:45 p.m. Friday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, 43-year-old Kyle Salamone was being chased by the deputy when the accident happened. Salamone was driving at speeds over 100 miles per hour when the deputy hit the rear of his car causing him to overturn off the side of the road.
The Oregon County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Salamone is a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that took place in Fulton County, Arkansas. The deputy involved did not sustain any injuries during this incident.
Salamone has been transported to a Springfield hospital for treatment and remains in serious condition.
