High School Lacrosse Player Lucian Li Dies in Chester County Crash

Lucian Li died, two passengers in critical but stable condition
A devastating car accident in Chester County has claimed the life of Lucian Li, a talented lacrosse athlete and recent graduate of Manheim Township High School. The 19-year-old was driving on Route 202 when his vehicle was struck by a wrong-way driver in the early morning hours of July 14.
Li suffered grave injuries and was immediately transported to Paoli Hospital, where he remained until Tuesday night when he tragically passed away. According to a family spokesperson, Li's loved ones made the difficult decision to take him off life support around 10 p.m.
In accordance with Li's wishes, his organs were prepared for donation by the medical team at Paoli Hospital. Family members, friends, and hospital staff gathered at the hospital to walk with Li as he was taken to the operating room for this selfless act.
The other driver involved in this tragic accident has been identified as Matthew DeAngelis from Delaware County. DeAngelis was driving a pickup truck against traffic when he collided with Li's car. Sadly, DeAngelis died at the scene.
Two passengers who were traveling with Li are reported to be in critical but stable condition at Paoli Hospital. Both individuals are teammates from Kenyon College lacrosse team hailing from Carmel, Indiana and Blacklick Ohio; however their names have not been released.
