Red Oak Man Miles Russell Dies in Sunday Evening Crash

Miles Russell was pronounced dead at Montgomery County Hospital. The driver of the semi had minor injuries.
A man from Red Oak, Iowa lost his life in a car accident on Sunday evening. Miles Russell was driving an F150 truck on Highway 34 when he crossed the center line and collided with a semi-truck near Eastern Avenue. The impact caused Russell's vehicle to hit a road sign before coming to rest in a ditch.
Russell was rushed to Montgomery County Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The driver of the semi-truck sustained minor injuries during the crash.
The Iowa State Patrol has reported that Russell wasn't wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. No further details have been released about what may have caused him to cross into oncoming traffic.
