Four Injured as Mobile Home Crashes onto Interstate 485 in Charlotte
A mobile home fell onto the inner loop of Interstate 485, causing injuries to four people and shutting down one direction of the interstate in west Charlotte on Thursday morning. The incident involved a tractor-trailer carrying a mobile home, according to Charlotte Fire.
Miles-long traffic backed up behind the splintered house. First responders were working to clear the scene while advising drivers in the area to expect significant delays and take alternate routes.
Mecklenburg EMS reported that four people sustained injuries but none were serious. The state highway patrol has not provided an estimated time for how long the road will be closed but warned drivers to expect extended delays.
