Tammi Lyn Guy, Mother of Four, Killed in Salem Car Accident

A 41-year-old mother of four, Tammi Lyn Guy, was identified as the pedestrian who was hit by a car on Easter Sunday in Salem, according to officials. The incident occurred in the area of Jefferson Avenue and Wilson Street in Salem on Sunday, April 9, according to the Salem Police Department. Guy suffered extensive injuries and was transported to North Shore Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Guy is survived by her partner, Shawn Bryer, and her four children, Alahna, Cody, Amaya, and Ava. She was also the primary caretaker for her sister Tara, who suffers from multiple sclerosis. "Our family has been incredibly overwhelmed with people's words of support and desire to help Tammi's family," wrote Erin Leonard, who organized the GoFundMe for Guy's family.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to support the future endeavors of Tammi's children, partner, and sister, the campaign description reads. The driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene, police say. The car crash is currently under investigation.
A GoFundMe for for Guy's family has been established.
