Both are going to be okay
A car drove onto a sidewalk in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, hitting a woman and her teenage daughter. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the crash occurred around 9:45 a.m. on S. San Pedro Street when the car veered off the road and struck both victims.
The teenage girl suffered "several fractures" as a result of the accident while her mother complained of pain. Fortunately, "both are going to be okay," said Los Angeles Police Department.
Investigators believe that the driver of the car experienced "some sort of medical emergency" which caused them to lose control of their vehicle. After hitting both pedestrians, the car continued on and hit several other vehicles before coming to a stop.
No arrests have been made at this time.
