Emergency personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident with fire on September 27, 2023, at around 6:40 a.m. The incident occurred on Forest Park Road near Pine Hill Run Road in Lexington Park, Maryland.
Upon their arrival at the scene, emergency crews found two vehicles completely engulfed in flames and another vehicle off the roadway. Fortunately, all occupants had managed to exit the vehicles before help arrived. Firefighters wasted no time and swiftly began extinguishing the blaze. By 7:03 a.m., they successfully brought it under control.
Thankfully, there were no reported injuries resulting from this accident. However, due to the severity of the incident, Forrest Park Road at Three Notch Road was temporarily closed in both directions as authorities worked to clear the area and investigate further.
As of 8:55 a.m., Forrest Park Road at Three Notch Road has been reopened for traffic in both directions.
