Mary A. Pierce died, the man suffered serious injuries.

A tragic motorcycle accident in Saline County, Kansas has resulted in the death of a 40-year-old woman. According to reports from the Kansas Highway Patrol, Mary A. Pierce of Paragrould, Arkansas was a passenger on a 2008 Harley Davidson being driven by a 52-year-old man when tragedy struck.

The couple was traveling westbound on I-70 near Brookville Road when the rear tire of their motorcycle blew out causing them to lose control and lay over at around 10:15 am on Thursday morning. Both driver and passenger were thrown from the bike as a result of the accident.

Emergency services rushed both individuals to a local hospital for treatment where Pierce tragically passed away due to her injuries sustained during the crash. The male driver suffered serious injuries but his current condition is unknown.
