Fatal Motorcycle Crash Causes Delays on I-95 South in Jacksonville

One fatality, one critically injured
A tragic crash between a motorcycle and a car on I-95 South at the Lem Turner exit in Jacksonville, Florida has caused significant delays. The Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department (JFRD) alerted the public about the incident at 6:10 p.m., stating that multiple patients were being treated for injuries resulting from the collision.
According to a report released by the Florida Highway Patrol on Saturday, there were two individuals riding on the motorcycle involved in the crash. The driver, identified as a 39-year-old man from Savannah, lost control of his vehicle for an "unknown reason" while traveling in rainy conditions. Tragically, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The passenger on the motorcycle, a 24-year-old woman from Chicago, sustained critical injuries and was also transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The JFRD took to Twitter to inform commuters about ongoing traffic disruptions caused by this accident. They advised drivers to expect delays in the area surrounding I-95 southbound at Lem Turner exit due to this unfortunate incident.
