Woman Killed in Draper Motorcycle Crash

The 52-year-old man driving the motorcycle was transported to the hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries; the 59-year-old female passenger was pronounced dead on the scene.
A fatal accident occurred in Jones County, South Dakota over the weekend. The Department of Public Safety stated that a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a GMC Acadia were both traveling west on Interstate 90 near Draper when the driver of the GMC Acadia rear-ended the motorcycle. Tragically, one person lost their life in this incident, with the 59-year-old female motorcycle passenger being pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the motorcycle, identified as a 52-year-old man, sustained serious non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment. Neither he nor his passenger were wearing helmets at the time of impact.
Meanwhile, authorities confirmed that no harm came to the teenage driver behind the wheel of GMC Acadia during this crash.
As per reports from local law enforcement agencies investigating this case, charges against the young driver are currently pending while they continue with their investigation into what caused this tragic accident.
