Unidentified Driver Injured in Joplin Motorcycle Crash

Driver rushed to hospital with no update on his condition
Joplin, Missouri - A motorcycle crash occurred near Schifferdecker and Junge Blvd at around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night, April 29, 2023. The incident was reported to Joplin E-911, and Joplin Fire Station No.2, METS ambulance, METRO1, and Joplin Police responded to the scene.
According to Sgt Ketrina Jones of Joplin Police, the crash involved a single vehicle, a motorcycle, which was traveling south on Schifferdecker. The driver clipped the curb, lost control, and was ejected from the motorcycle. The driver traveled about 300 feet before coming to rest on the west sidewalk. The crash was initially discovered by a Jasper County Sheriff Deputy who happened to notice the crash and called his dispatch.
The driver was rushed to an area hospital with Priority-1 Trauma. There is no update on his condition. The driver was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
