A 25-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash in north Phoenix on Saturday morning, according to police. The incident occurred at around 10 a.m. near the intersection of Cave Creek Road and Sweetwater Avenue.
The crash involved a motorcycle rider and a car. Sadly, the man driving the motorcycle, identified as Omar Santos-Marquez, was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.
The woman driving the car sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
As detectives investigated the accident, road closures were put in place in the surrounding area.
