Motorcycle Crash in Plainfield: Jewett City Man Killed

A tragic motorcycle crash in Plainfield, Connecticut claimed the life of a man from Jewett City on Thursday evening, according to local authorities. The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. near 154 Canterbury Rd., prompting a response from the Plainfield Police Department.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officials determined that Nathan A. Carcieri, a 38-year-old resident of Jewett City, had been traveling westbound on his 2012 Yamaha motorcycle when he lost control of the vehicle. Carcieri veered off the road and collided with a stone wall.
Emergency personnel swiftly arrived and administered medical assistance to Carcieri at the crash site before transporting him to Backus Emergency Care Center for further treatment. Tragically, despite their efforts, Carcieri was later pronounced dead at the medical facility.
The Plainfield Police Department has launched an investigation into this devastating accident in order to determine its cause and any contributing factors.
