Motorcycle Crash with Semi Leaves One Dead

The driver of the motorcycle died from his injuries and the semi-driver was not hurt.
Tragedy struck on Friday night as a motorcycle crash involving a semi resulted in the death of a 67-year-old man from Arizona. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on K-61, approximately 16 miles northeast of Pratt, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP).
The KHP reported that the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on K-61 when he attempted to pass a car by crossing the center line. Unfortunately, during this maneuver, he collided with an oncoming semi driven by a 31-year-old man heading south.
Despite emergency responders' efforts to save his life, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Fortunately, no harm befell the driver of the semi-truck.
Authorities have not released any further details regarding either individual involved in this tragic accident. It is unclear whether factors such as speed or impairment played a role in causing this collision.
