A motorcycle officer from the Los Angeles Police Department was injured and taken to the hospital on Thursday after being struck by a car during a stolen vehicle pursuit that ended in a crash. The incident occurred at around 3:41 p.m. in the area of Community Street and Noble Avenue, according to police.
Upon receiving calls about an "officer down," emergency responders rushed to the scene. No details regarding their condition have been released at this time.
Meanwhile, just half a mile away at Kester Avenue and Parthenia Street, authorities apprehended one of the suspects involved in the alleged pursuit following a two-vehicle collision.
While it is yet uncertain whether or not it was indeed the stolen vehicle involved in the chase that struck the officer, investigations are ongoing to determine all relevant details surrounding this incident.
