Motorcycle Rider Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Sacramento

Tragedy struck on Thursday night when a motorcycle rider lost their life in a multi-vehicle accident on northbound Highway 99, south of 12th Avenue. The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash involved five vehicles, with only one being a motorcycle.
The rider has been identified as 27-year-old Alexander Verhoeven. As a result of the collision, Verhoeven was ejected from his motorcycle and subsequently struck by additional vehicles. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have confirmed that there were no other reported injuries stemming from the incident and no suspicion of driving under the influence.
