Dauphin County man charged with DUI after crashing motorcycle into deer

A man from Dauphin County, Pennsylvania was charged with DUI after crashing his motorcycle into a deer on Tuesday night. According to the Pennsylvania State Police crash report, the 37-year-old rider was traveling east on Allentown Boulevard in East Hanover Township when he collided with the animal at around 10:00 pm.
The impact caused him to be thrown off his bike and onto the side of the road. The report also stated that he was not wearing a proper helmet at the time of the accident. Emergency services including Grantville Fire, West Hanover Volunteer Fire, Life Lion EMS, and Dingmans Towing responded to the scene.
The man sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital for treatment. The police report confirmed that he had been under the influence of alcohol while riding his motorcycle.
