Motorcyclist Tyler Ward Dies in Crash in Fayette County

Motorcyclist died, driver and passenger of PT Cruiser uninjured
A tragic accident in Fayette County, Ohio has claimed the life of a motorcyclist. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Thursday morning at around 6:43 a.m. at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and Draper Street in Washington Court House.
Authorities report that a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser was traveling northeast on Clinton Avenue and attempted to make a left turn onto Draper Street, heading north. At the same time, a 2023 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was traveling southwest on Clinton Avenue.
Unfortunately, the driver of the PT Cruiser failed to yield to oncoming traffic while making the left turn and collided with the motorcycle. The impact resulted in severe injuries for Tyler Ward, a 28-year-old who was riding the motorcycle. He was rushed to Adena Fayette Medical Center but tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Thankfully, neither the driver nor passenger of the PT Cruiser sustained any injuries as a result of this devastating crash. The Ohio State Highway Patrol received assistance from various local agencies including Washington Court House police, Washington Court House fire units, and even Fayette County Coroner's Office.
The investigation into this fatal accident is ongoing under jurisdiction by Wilmington Post troopers. As they work diligently to gather all necessary evidence and information surrounding this incident, our thoughts go out to Tyler Ward's family during this difficult time.
