Motorcyclist Injured in Collision with Ford Edge in Minot

Motorcyclist taken to Trinity Hospital with injuries
A 37-year-old man from Minot, North Dakota was injured in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, June 25. The incident occurred at the intersection of US Highway 2 and 79th Street SE when the motorcyclist failed to yield and collided with a Ford Edge.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on 79th Street around 12:45 p.m. He did not yield at the intersection and struck a Ford Edge that was heading east on US Highway 2. The driver of the Ford Edge, a 16-year-old girl from Surrey, along with her passenger who is also a 15-year-old girl from Surrey, were both wearing seatbelts and escaped without any injuries.
However, the motorcyclist was not wearing his helmet at the time of the accident. As a result, he sustained injuries that required him to be transported by ambulance to Trinity Hospital for treatment.
The motorcyclist has been cited for failing to yield at an intersection and charges against him are currently pending. The crash is still under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
