Motorcyclist Jesse Christiano Dies in Head-On Crash in Torrington

Christiano was pronounced dead at Hartford Hospital.
A tragic accident occurred in Torrington on Saturday night, resulting in the death of a 27-year-old motorcyclist. The crash took place at around 10:10 p.m. on Winsted Road at the intersection with South Road and involved a motorcycle and a car.
Upon arriving at the scene, emergency crews found Jesse Christiano, from Torrington, unconscious with serious injuries on the shoulder of Winsted Road. He was rushed to Hartford Hospital by LifeStar but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The other vehicle involved in the collision was identified as a 2023 Toyota Corolla driven by a 22-year-old man from Torrington who did not sustain any injuries.
According to investigators, Christiano had been traveling south on Winsted Road before pulling off onto the west shoulder near South Road. It is believed that he then attempted either to turn onto South Road or conduct a u-turn back north when he collided head-on with the Toyota Corolla traveling southbound.
The Torrington Police Accident Investigation Team responded to investigate this incident which resulted in road closures until early Sunday morning.
